The 2007 CEEI Reports were the subject of the latest in a series of webinars produced by the RuralBC Secretariat on various topics designed to be of interest to local government staff, officials, and other community leaders across British Columbia. Presenters included staff from The City of North Vancouver, Regional District of Central Kootenay, Stantec Consulting, and members of the CEEI Working Group.

The purpose of this study was to improve vehicle kilometres travelled (VKT) estimates for determining GHG vehicle emissions in different regions of the Province.

Residential Heating Oil, Propane, and Wood Heat Estimates for BC Communities (PDF, 185 MB)

The intent of this study is to build upon information prepared by the Pembina Institute, with input from Enerficiency Consulting, that outlined available data sources and possible approaches that could be taken to develop oil and propane estimates for CEEI. Further investigation of the data sources was undertaken, and estimates of consumption were calculated for each local government. In addition to heating oil and propane, estimates of wood consumption have also been included.
