Mitigation

  • Getting to Carbon Neutral Government
    June 2009

This report fulfills a legislated requirement to report on emissions related to carbon neutral government business travel in 2008 of over 34,000 tonnes CO2e and associated offsets worth $860,000. It includes plans to reduce GHGs in the future and actions taken in 2008 across the public sector – and represents the actions of over 150 organizations.
  • Climate Action Plan
    June 2008

It also provides information on how British Columbians can reduce energy consumption and save money while reducing their greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Meeting British Columbia’s Targets: A Report from the B.C. Climate Action Team
    July 2008

This report recommends strategies and interim emissions targets for 2012 and 2016 to assist the Province achieve its emission reduction target of 33 per cent by 2020. Independent modelling by M.K. Jaccard and Associates Inc. was used to estimate the emission reductions of some of the recommended policy options put forward by the Climate Action Team.
